Los Angeles is the second largest city in the United States, so if you are moving in the South Bay area, you will have a lot of ground to cover and traffic in your way—especially if you want to visit the world famous attractions that L.A. is known for. There are plenty of interesting things to do in the South Bay area as well that you can enjoy to the fullest.
Here is a list of places we think will help you get acquainted to the community:
Aquarium of the Pacific
The fourth most attended aquarium in the United States and it offers educational programs for all ages, hands on activities for the public and over 11,000 animals in 50 exhibits, plus much more.
The Queen Mary
A ship with a lot of history dating back to the early 1900’s. The ship has been used for cruises for A-List celebrities as well as international royalty. During World War II, the Queen Mary was used as a troopship and was nicknamed the “Grey Ghost” because of her stealth. Today, the Queen Mary serves as a landmark that hosts tours, concerts, festivals, and many other great events.
There is plenty to do here regardless of your interests. If you want to shop, hangout with your family and children, or have a romantic dinner date with your special someone, Redondo Pier has what you’re looking for.
Los Angeles Maritime Museum
A great place to learn the history of Los Angeles from a different perspective. This museum has plenty of educational exhibits explaining the history of the L.A. harbor.
El Dorado Nature Center
Perfect for those who enjoy nature and animals. It is around 105 acres with paved and dirt trails that leads you around two lakes, a stream and a forested area. It’s a perfect place to unwind with the family after a relocation.
